The team of two will be offering a variety of specialised workshops, bridging Yoga Movement, Mindfulness & the 3 Pillars of the Wim Hof Method: Breath, Cold Exposure & Mindset Commitment. Join Saori and Lydia in a one day urban yoga retreat in the breathtaking  42 Acres, in the heart of the city. Planet-friendly and socially aware, we invite you to join us in this beautiful space where nature and spirit meet. 

The team of two will be offering a variety of specialised yoga workshops, two yoga classes of differing styles, yoga nidra and pranayama. This one day retreat will be a wonderful way to spend more time going deeper into your practice and doing something wonderful for the body and mind. 

We have hand picked to work with a bespoke caterer who works with seasonally sourced plant-based food that is inclusive, eclectic and natural, to provide a delicious healthy lunch. We hope to have you join us on this special day.

Saori and Lydia will be there to support all individuals, all levels welcome.

About the Retreat

Join Cheryl Theodorou Abela and Lydia Lim for a long weekend yoga retreat at the stunning West Lexham set in beautiful Norfolk. 

The retreat includes daily dynamic practices in the morning, restorative sessions in the evening complemented with pranayama and guided meditations. You will enjoy the luxury of nourishing your body and mind through carefully crafted yoga practices and have the chance of reconnecting with nature through walks, taking a leisurely row on the lake or simply enjoying a dip in the pool. You will be able to tempt your palate with delicious homemade meals and leave feeling rejuvenated, refreshed and relaxed.

The retreat is catered to all levels.

Healthy nutrition is key and we want all of our yogis to experience the richness of freshly prepared vegan/vegetarian cuisine. We are fortunate to have the wonderful Julia, our in house chef, who runs Purple Plum Fine Food in Norfolk.


Julia prides herself in cooking up delicious, clean, whole foods inspired by the lush variety of locally sourced ingredients. At Purple Plum, every ingredient is meticulously sourced and impeccably prepared to create unique and ever-changing seasonal menus.


The food is seasonal with a great emphasis on ayuverdic diet where possible. Any food intolerances, allergies or special diets can be accommodated for (please specify in the booking form).

West Lexham

West Lexham is the perfect rural retreat venue. Let nature soothe your brow and drop into utter tranquility in the 21 acres of gardens, woods, rivers and lakes. The heritage buildings and hand crafted furniture lift the spirits and inspire people to unfurl to their full potential. West Lexham is nearly 100% run on renewable energy. Wherever possible, the retreat centre supports the local economy by sourcing food and materials locally. You will have time to explore the venue taking in details from the shell mosaics, to the bonsai forests and original artworks.

*The Village Hall and Cottages will be undergoing renovation in the early part of 2019 with beautifully done up new rooms.

The nearest train station is Downham Market. Trains run from London Kings Cross to Downham Market every hour and every half hour at certain peak times. Journey times are approximately 1h 25m.

About Lydia

Born in Kuala Lumpur and raised as a third culture kid, Lydia was first introduced to yoga in her early teens in South East Asia. She has lived in London over the past decade, completing her degrees in Architecture and Cultural and Creative Industries. Lydia completed her 200hr Yoga Teacher Training in Ashtanga Vinyasa and Pre/Post Natal Training with YogaLondon in 2016 and 2017 respectively. She has also trained with Jamie and Dulce, from The Yoga People, in Mandala Methodology and Pranification. She currently teaches at studio's based in Central London. Lydia will be undertaking her 500hrs teacher training starting in July 2019 in New York under the guidance of Sri Dharma Mittra.

Lydia classes include a tapestry of dynamic sequences coupled with a spiritually Dharmic element, that aims to nurture physical and mental agility with the ambition of cutting the strings that pull on the mind.

About Cheryl

Cheryl first discovered yoga when she was living in South Africa after graduating. She was immediately drawn to the practice for the juxtaposition it offered, a discipline that delved into her heart and mind whilst building mental and physical strength in a non-competitive space. 

Cheryl teaches yoga from the heart and offers a warm and light approach to the practice whilst weaving in the spiritual elements. She is also an anatomy enthusiast and loves to integrate her knowledge of this field and strong alignment throughout her teaching.

Cheryl attained her L3 diploma, 200 hrs yoga teacher's training in 2011 attaining a CQY Accreditation with YMCA. Cheryl will be undertaking her 500 hrs teachers training starting in January 2019 with YogaLondon. Cheryl's teaching is inspired by various styles of yoga including Astanga, Dharma, Sivananda and Bikram. She is passionate and enthusiastic about teaching and feels like she has come home.
