Join me for a 30-minute Pregnancy Yoga class where we will be moving through a low impact, calming sequenced flow, designed with the pregnant body in mind. We will work towards pre-natal sun salutations to get the body moving, followed by a nice and relaxing end to our practice to develop a connection between you and your baby. These classes are about empowering you to have the most conscious birthing experience, and my focus is on trying to help you cultivate a stronger connection with your breath and strengthen your body in preparation for labour. Yoga can have such a positive and profound impact on your body and mind during your pregnancy. You may have practised yoga before prior to your pregnancy, or it may be your first time on the mat because you're starting this precious new chapter of motherhood. In either scenario, it is never too late to practice yoga - everyone is welcome! The general guidelines state that the best time to start yoga if you have never done it before is in the second trimester, after about 14 weeks. Yoga guidelines advise that you do not try postures in the first trimester, if you are not used to it. Always be mindful of how your body feels and talk to your healthcare provider regarding any health issues. Let me know how you felt after the practice in the comments section below! 25-Min Beginners Hatha Yoga | Hamstring Legthening | Lydia Lim Yoga

Join me for a 25 minute Hatha practice where we will be concentrating purely lengthening our hamstrings. In this practice, we will be entering into specific yoga poses targeting the hamstrings which can help alleviate tightness and improve flexibility. This practice is especially good for runners and athletes who would like to open their hamstrings. In Hatha, we hold each pose for 5-6 breaths at a time which will help those of you who are new to the practice to have a chance to take in the finer details on proper alignment. For those who are slightly more familiar to the practice, it will give you the chance to strengthen your bodies and cultivate a deeper sense of awareness. One translation of the Sanskrit word Hatha means sun/moon, so through this practice, you will work towards finding balance - balance through both your physical body and in your mind. This class is suitable for all levels. Let me know how your felt after the practice in the comments section below!
